How we ensure quality care

Sitter must speak English fluently.

Most Sitters are current on their CPR and First-Aid Certification.

Sitter must have three or more years of employment experience working with children.

Sitter must have excellent references from each prior employer.

Sitter must be a United States citizen or a Permanent Resident Alien.

Sitter must live in Louisville or within the surrounding areas and have their own transportation, so that we can meet them face-to-face.

Sitter must have an excellent driving record.

Sitter is vetted through a full criminal background check conducted by a third-party agency.

Sitter is kind, nurturing and responsible, and love working with children!

Fee Structure

Occasional Provider
- For the care of 1-5 Children: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour.
- Each additional child over 5: $5.00 additional per hour.
Nanny
- Nanny Salaries are negotiated between the Client and Prospetive Candidate depending upon the number of children in the household, the number of hours of employment each week or month, and the duties and responsibilities required of the nanny

Expections and Reality

We thoroughly screen all of our sitters to ensure that they meet our high standards for quality care. However, we cannot guarantee the performance or behavior of any individual sitter. We recommend that clients conduct their own interviews and reference checks before making a final decision on hiring a sitter. Additionally, while we strive to match clients with sitters who meet their specific needs and preferences, we cannot guarantee a perfect match in every case.

Engagement Expections

Sitter are care providers, not employees of Sitters Service. As such, we do not have control over the actions or behavior of our sitters once they are matched with clients. We recommend that clients establish clear expectations and guidelines for their sitters, including communication protocols, scheduling, and payment arrangements. We also encourage clients to maintain open and honest communication with their sitters to ensure a positive and successful engagement.
